Runaway Rabbit (2019)

22″ x 18″ Acrylic on canvas.

A year or so ago I was helping my father clean up the yard where he stores his equipment when I saw this rabbit hanging out underneath one of our trailers. From to the fur colouring and the fact that a wild rabbit would not have let me get as close as I did to take this picture, my parents and I think that this rabbit was likely to be someone’s runaway pet.

Done in acrylic paint on canvas, this painting took me a while to complete but I finally finished it back in February.

  1. Love the painting of this rabbit.
Composition with all the grasses in front enhances the element of surprise in spotting it. The fur, the grasses beautifully rendered. Wonderful depth as well.
